Thanks for an awesome game!
Question:
I've seen a video on youtube regarding a new map design. Are there any plans for improvements/rewrites in the future?

Any ETA on further development?
Hello,
I posted some thoughts on such options, including directions Evochron could go in the future, in the thread here: http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10954
I still do plan to continue to support EM for now with updates, as long as it remains feasible to do so. I'm generally always prototyping, testing, and developing ideas, but still can't say at this point what may or may not come about. I would -like- to develop a new title in the series with many new base gameplay rules/ideas redesigned from the ground up. But we'll have to see how my available time/resources and prototype efforts pan out. When/if there's something to announce along such lines, I'll likely post it in the announcements section on the forum.
Currently, there is an update for EM pending (with some visual improvements and some planned control improvements) and in beta testing, hopefully to roll out sometime soon.

Thanks for continuing to support what I feel is one of the best Space Sims out, period.
I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a sequel to EM from you. EL was a blast, EM has been great. I'm always referring people here and to try/buy your title when they show space sim interest and I feel that your titles often go unsung for what they offer.
I am also in Star Citizen alpha (meh) and an Elite: Dangerous beta backer (been a blast...flies very similar to EM)...both are good, visually amazing, but when they have bugs, server glitches, or I just want to get in and play... EM is where its at for me.
I donated to that thread you linked a while back, but there have been so many good ideas I have no doubts you'll implement something amazing should you choose to continue supporting EM with additions beyond patching.
Thanks for your hard work and dedication, and as a huge space sim fan, and backer of other sims...and having experience in them... PLEASE keep this game alive and fresh, I feel that you'll see an influx of users when the realize what you have to offer and it becomes more fleshed out. If there is a couple things I wouldn't mind seeing implemented in EM from say Elite...it would be the universe with stars and orbits, supercruise is awesome imho and adds an interesting element to travel, and 1:1 ratios for sizing. Does that need to happen? HELL NO! It would be cool, but by no means ruins the game... EM is a great title that I play more now than ever because of my time in betas and alphas.
Anyone wanting to know which of the big two to get? Go with Elite if you're familiar with EM, both complement eachother nicely in a collection. Can't say I'm all that impressed with SC yet...it's fun for a few rounds of then I'm ready to move on.
I look forward to future EM udpates and future SW space sim releases! Cheers and thank you!
