OK who did this thing?

Post by Kambalo »

Who thought that placing jump beside storage was the right thing to do (F2-F3) I have killed myself like 6 times already trying to check my storage while mining?

:P :P

Other thing how come I got attacked inside a station, I was docked and some idiot in red ship attack me while I was dock, dont suppose to be some type of protection while you are docked?

:(:o

I removed the F2 key very early. It's nowhere to be found anymore.
Fortunately my wife never use that key when she uses the rig LOL!;)

If you have a license you should get some protection but nothing is ever really safe. That's why we have weapons! :P

You change the key settings in game. Keep in mind that there are 3 pages of key bindings.

Congratulations for getting through the "accidentally FTL jump into an asteroid at point blank range" initiation. Now you are a true pilot of Evochron, like the rest of us!

Are you sure the other ship was actually attacking you in the station? Often other ships come into dock too close and the shield bumping can look like they are shooting at you.

That would be 'U' to cycle target subsystem.

Yes the ship was attacking me inside the station, it was in one of those areas marked as "hostile" and the ship name was in read. When I checked it said high risk. So I may have traveled into a hostile area.

Was it attacking you or just bumping into you - they can feel like the same thing!

I quickly lost the <shift> key binding after several embarrassing incidences of firing missile point blank at people I was trying to chat to!! :P

If a hostile AI is close to the station when you dock, it might attack. As for the hyperjump key, I re-mapped mine to the NumPad Enter key ... far from F2.

If you where inside the station and not docked, then in a hostile quadrant - you will get attacked eventually.
PEARL, Oasis station - They really do not mind shooting after a while :P!

I just use F2. I haven't had any problems with it. Then again, I can touchtype ;)

As for being attacked in stations, it can happen. For the most part, the station protects against enemies that are shooting at you merely by placing walls between you. However, hostile ships inside the station can still attack. If you buy a station license, the station will provide some protection from attacks.

However, don't forget that you can always enter the station using the Enter Station button, and then you are immune from all damage until you leave the station. From there, you can go to the hangar, weapons lab, etc., as well as conduct all of your other station business.
