Is every planet discovered already?

Knowing that the game has been out for a while, can we assume that every single planet has been discovered already?

If not, to find one you must check each sector, or are there areas where those undiscovered planets are located?

No, far from it. I get reports of new systems/planets found every week and add them to this map:

All blue dots are systems found by players.
All empty space might have planets.

Here is a tool I created to help you find planets with one known location (planet) to start from.
