New future pilot here

Post by Kambalo »

I just heard about this game by accident while visiting a forum.

I hope to buy it soon and give it a try. What time the forums are usually bussy, seems like right now 3 pm Eastern they are pretty dead.

Hello,

Unlike a lot of forums, this one is actually run by the game developer himself.

There are also a lot of long time users here too, who have played the game for years.

This means that any questions or queries are answered in good time, there are also player online in game to be talked too.

Just to let you know, the forum is in the planning stages of eventually being updated ... Vice, himself, will post to let you know exactly when.

Hi and welcome.

You can always download the game here: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronmerce ... nloads.htm and try it out.
It's the full game limited to 90min before you purchase a key to unlock it.

See you out there.

I downloaded and I am trying it, looks awesome, a quick question when I took the mission about clearing the asteroid field says to go to waypoint, but I cannot find the way point.

The waypoint for any contract you accept is set automatically for you when accepting the contract.

All you need to do is jump (F2 by default)

You can see the WP on your map (F1)
Right click a sector to zoom in. All contracts you accept are in the same sector as you take the contract.

Exception is the Distress Calls that pop up. They can be anywhere, but you don't have to accept them. Just deliver
what they want in time. (A "race" between players in MP)

Good luck!

Yes. In your main game folder you have a keymap image.
Can't remember the exact name but it's there.

You have the mod kit here: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronmerce ... nloads.htm

Instructions are in it as well as sample files.

Basically all you need to do to install HUD mods is to create a HUD folder in your main game folder.
Then drop the hud mods in that one.

Check my site http://www.evochron2.junholt.se/ and the Mods section and you'll get the picture
for folders for different mods.

Great thanks, my my I got a lot of reading to do, lol

One last thing how do you collect items floating in space, my ship keeps bouncing them out.

Also can I get better ships right away or do I need to increase reputation skills etc?

On the nav map the waypoint shows up as a small blue square!

Welcome to the game and the community :)

You need a tractor beam and cargo space to collect items. You can add space by going into the shipyard (enter a station, dock and select the shipyard option). The better your ship, the more room you'll have to add cargo space (among other things). Civilian ships don't require a better reputation but you must journey to a star system with better technology than Sapphire (something you can't do unless you own the game).

Alt-F9 will auto-save the game any time except when you're in the middle of a contract. Alt-B will keep your tractor beam running by itself.

After purchasing the game, if you have problems with combat, navigation or completing contracts, try logging on to one of the populated servers for help.

 P.S. When on line, press the Enter key to open the chat window.

From the options screen click on multiplayer. On that screen click on find internet servers. On that screen if you left click on a server you can see who's playing. Then right click on the server you fancy playing on
