Just joined the forum and thought I'd say Hi to you all.
I've just found EM and started looking around the Evoverse. Still in SP mode though. From what I have seen I'm struck dumb by the complexity and total awesomeness of this system! I'm an old Elite player and muck about in Oolite from time to time so this game will quickly find a place in my heart very quickly I'm sure.
I'm a total noob in this adventure. I'm eager to learn and more than ready to get into battle, with the help of this community. I just have to re-educate myself in the art of Inertial flight and fight. lol I am currently attempting to target a navpoint and train in multi-weapon button techniques. (If I could tether paint cans to my rear I'd be the second Jackson Pollock! lmao) Needless to say I'm awesome in my failure but using it to find my 'style' of dealing death to all things RED.
If I do attempt MP will my SP setup transfer or will I have to build from scratch? It's not really an issue but I just like to know.
So. Glad to meet you all and hope to see you in the Evoverse at some XYZ in the near future.
Hi SpaceBum1 - welcome to the game and to the forum!
Mid-late evening GMT/UCT is a good time to try MP. I recommend that you get on MP asap. You can get help as and when you need it and the community is really nice - no bullying newbies!
Lots of pilots can help with combat - it's not easy in this game - but there's so much else to do that's not a prob. There's a Hints&Tips Guide available with lots of advice and help on everything Evoverse including combat.
About the only thing that doesn't transfer between MP and SP are the trade and other sorts of stations you build. Every thing else works seamlessly as you transfer.
Hope to see you out there!

One other thing won't transfer: your "global" reputation (the one listed on the right side of the Nav Console). Why? Because, in MP, you share it with other players.
