It is Happy Dance Time

Post by Vampyre »

After running some supplies out to a Navy ship in Atlas, I docked back at the station. It was time to off load some water and find a new job.

I received a trade request. I accepted and chose the seeking info option. For $1550 I was given some sort of shield booster worth $7.7 million!

Yes I sold it. I bought a Mammoth frame, a level 10 engine and shield and some other goodies.

I also have a crafted PC and laser.

I guess it's time to jump through some hoops.

It feels like I won the Evochron Lottery !

Ha: won the lottery, you did!

I have acquired several choice pieces of resellable equipment using that very pretext.

It makes me want to park in front of the Atlas station spamming F4.

I just tried to race., lost again.. Oh well I am off to start my career as a professional beggar.

In a big ship I've practically never won a race. I just quit trying since it lower the loyalty of my crew. It even not so easy with my Firestar - but I'm for sure not the best pilot around.
I don't think I've ever won one of those "timed" races no matter what frame I try.

I understand that, in certain cultures, professional mendicants can get by well enough....;) But, beggars can't be choosers. Gotta take whatcha get! Sorta like 'Free Puppies'... or 'Free Lunch'.... I mean, begging in Atlas can't be all that bad... could it ? :o ;) :P

I think you've started a new way for mercenaries to survive in Evochron Vampyre! Vice should add "begging" to the list of things you can do in this game, along with combat, trade, mine, race, etc. LOL

A new class has been found to play, Space Hobo.

The Space Hobo starts the game with no money, a dirty rag, a squeegee, a bottle of dirty water and a patched up EVA suit. He tries to clean canopies as they pass him on their way to and from a station for spare change or used tobacco products.

I prefer the term "vagabond" ... it has more of a "king of the road" feel about it.

Thief Baggins! :P

I wonder how it affects you reputation - still with $7+ million I guess you don't need to care much! ;)

I think I bought to much horse power. My ship is harder to control now, I think I need better wings but nothing fits.... I'll figure something out.

Hello,

The bigger the ship the more of a brick it becomes, BUT the more it can do.

The F-4 Phantom - a text-book example of: 'Given enough power, a brick could fly!' :)

I took on my first combat mission in Cerlean(sp) and took out 8 enemies with no damage so I'm happy.

 Big Ugly wasn't a brick. It was Jake LaMotta with wings.

I was in the Navy when they were phasing the Phantoms out. My squadron flew A7-Es. They were on their way out as well.

My ship looks a little like an F4 with X - Wing engines.
