The newb IMG New Hope mining mission.
Why is it that after accepting the mission, and in midflight of the jump to the Sapphire asteroid field I get a voice msg of misson failure!?
Self-interest rules. Nothing is ever as it seems cuz no 2 people see the same thing the same way. Reality is illusion, and objectivity is void. Self-interest rules absolutely.

In what sector did you accept the contract? If it is an IMG contract, then the IMG header, in bold letters, will be written atop the contract ... and the contract will be in the same sector. If, for some reason, you accept a contract and then jump into a different sector, you will automatically fail the contract.

sound like you are flying to an other sector ... fly to the blue square in your nav window after accepting the contract for the contract location.

After you accept a 'go to somewhere' mission (go and look - go and bring back - go and clean - etc) it's worth using your radar to make sure you're pointing at the contract nav point. Then when you jump you'll be heading towards it . If you just jump after accepting you can be heading in any direction relative to your target (because you exit a jump in the direction your enter it)
