can't join my server

Post by waker »

Hi there !

i have a dedibox with win server 2008 running evochron server . The server run well, all is green , and internet connection is established . ports TCP 22888 and UDP 22889 UDP are open and forwarded .

but i'm not able to join the server with my evochron client .
i clik on join,
i erase my local ip,
i write internet ip,
i click on connect,
then i get on a page that display "established connection" and two buttons :
-host
-join

i click on join and then i get a message explaining me that the connexion has failed due to wrong ip or full server...

i repeat that ports are open and computer is connected to the internet, i have run many game server on this dedicated server (with win 2008 server or linux vm's) and i have no problems with the other.

is it the wrong ports ? am i doing it wrong when connecting ?
if somebody want to check my text2.dat file i upload it with this post.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english ,

Waker

can't join my server

You can't use your external internet IP address to both host with the server and join as a client simultaneously. It's already being used by the server program, so all you need to do is connect to your server on its local LAN IP address (which is also displayed in the lower left frame for convenience). Other players outside of your internet connection will use your external internet connection IP address to connect to you. For your connection, you just need to use your server's LAN IP to connect.
