Hello Iron Man! Although the Evochron Mercenary Customizing Kit does not address this weapon color issue specifically, what you are looking for can be accomplished. What I have been using is a c2bb.png file from a tractor beam mod set that Pilot Speaker Rob put up some time ago. All that I've done is to identify the beam and particle weapon number that I want to modify/change color, and then rewrite/readdress the original c2bb.png file name to match that of the particular weapon number. Beam cannons: #1 thru #5 (laser1.png - laser5.png). Particle cannons: #1 thru #15 (gun1.png - gun15.png). The c2bb.png file is that which the game uses for the mining/tractor beam color and effect. Use/create an 'environment' folder for the weapons mods, in the main game folder, if you don't already have one so located.

I just realize since i played (less than a lot of people of course but) since a moment Im using probably what 95% of veteran using as weapon.
The things is each other fire pretty much the same color apparently.
So I was thinking if we can (if it's possible and if people want it as well) change just the color as we wish. The game will look maybe more colorful ? what do you think?
I'm sorry I don't know a lot about computer I thought it was like in forum just a question of change a code of color for change it :s

As far as I know the mods you apply to your ship only appear in your view so only you would only see your weapons in their new colour.

Anyway, in RL it's not the norm for everyone in a fight to have their own personalised tracer colour (though I do believe that nations have their own favoured colour) Anyway if it turned into a fancy firework display it would probably spoil my concentration . . . . and I don't survive very long at the moment anyway!
