Hi all,
My friend and I are having a strange issue.
Anytime we attempt to trade, the trade UI drops and the items/credits being traded are lost. An example is a trade for platinum units offered but the UI closes before either of us confirm the trade. It has also done this weapons, credits, etc. the few times it has managed to stay open and confirmation is sent, neither of us get the offered item. After an attempt of trading 6 million credits, it's become increasingly frustrating.
The second issue we have is a less common but equally frustrating one, especially after a recent lost save after it's occurrence. When enter a sector for a contract to eliminate hostiles, whoever is not hosting after a set time (20-30 seconds) will suddenly detonate, regardless of taking incoming fire or not. The host can join in on the firework show, but even if the other is waiting patiently a few 1000 units out enjoying the show, they will still detonate. After a run of testing to find the culprit, we had replicated it again, but upon loading the save again (saved just outside oasis station, safely away from any contact) a single proximity caution chime will be heard and then sudden death.
I have searched high and low but can not find anything on this subject or others having the same issue. I read about dedicated servers on a WAN connection and am starting to have thoughts that using our LAN network is causing it. We have not attempted a game on a dedicated server yet. But does anyone have a clue what is going on?

Hello and welcome. I'll post some thoughts below.
What is the error reported in the message log? If the trade console closes for just about any reason, you'll see the reason in the message log. Sounds like you are probably just getting out of range. One of you may be slowly drifting while trying to perform the trade, then once you get out of range, you lose the trade connection and the console closes. If it's another cause, look in the message log for the reason. My friend and I are having a strange issue.

A couple of thoughts on this come to mind. First, are either of your systems overclocked? If so, I'd like to get some specs from you via e-mail. If not, then there may be some other cause involved. Either way, contact me via e-mail to investigate this and include both of the reference ID's for your licenses you are using with the game. The second issue we have is a less common but equally frustrating one, especially after a recent lost save after it's occurrence. Yeah, it's not something that will occur during normal game operation. So you'll want to follow up with me via e-mail for support (starwraith.com > contact).I have searched high and low but can not find anything on this subject or others having the same issue.
