Quick question since I would love to buy Mercenaries but don't want to be startled with a brand new game a month after purchase.
Will there be a Evochron Mercenaries 3.00 as a expansion or will it be a new chapter in the series?

Even if there is a new edition coming - which I doubt very much since the (free) expansion to the original EM has only just been released - Vice has a very fair 'upgrade' policy.

EM 2.X will likely be it for a while. As mentioned in the design questions thread, a new game in the series may be a possibility in the future, but it would still be quite a while away. So you won't be startled by anything new in a month.
