Hello, fellow pilots!

I'm a newcomer to EM and I'm entirely hooked. I'm itching to get into multiplayer but for now I'm sticking to singleplayer and honing my skills a bit. Figured I'd join the forums and start networking in the meantime, though!

Does progress in the single player universe transfer to the multiplayer version and vice-versa?

Hello Callisto and welcome to the game! :)

Progress does transfer from single player to multiplayer, but stations don't move, just personal pilot items... ship, weapons, rank, cash, etc.. :)

Hope to see you out there soon! ;)

Hi Cindy!

Thanks for the response. I'll look into joining multiplayer very soon. Is there a particular server that most folks here play on?

Also - happy to see (I assume, from the name) another female. Hiya, sistah! :D

Welcome aboard, Callisto! There about 6 individually-hosted server platforms currently in operation. Go into "Multi-Player" from the main menu screen, once loaded up. Click on the "find server/refresh button, wait for the 'list' to fill, then right-click to check the servers' status. It'll tell you who is flying that server. Left-clicking on a particular server will 'warp' you into that server. Once on-board the server platform of your choice, you can press the tilde key ~ to locate the player-pilots, check your ping rate for that server, and see your real-time profile attributes. (There are a few other features, but I'm going off of a spotty 'memory card' here. Old age and forgetfulness....) :)

And, instead of flying Solo-Play all the time, you can host-yer-own LAN iteration from just the games' software. It's a pretty cool feature. I've used it more than often.:cool:

:) Yes, it is good to see someone else on who is "female." :P Its all relative in a space game where it really doesn't matter too much.

I usually play on Ceti Alpha V or Galactica 1 about 11-ishpm to 3-isham EST. TeamSpeak 3 is where most pilots talk (ts93.light-speed.com:5781), but in-game chat can be accessed by pushing enter...typing...enter. ;)

Most Veterans will be willing to help you out and its a very friendly community... except when it relatively isn't. :P Ask Maarschalk about relatives sometime... :P he is the one who trained me in the relatively relative speaking matter. lol

Hi Callisto, welcome to the game and forum!......Hope to see you out there some time relatively speaking that is!.....;):P:cool:

And yes, as Cindy pointed out Fe-male is related to Macho-male. I only wish the mail male would deliver more fe-mails. Yes relativity can be very confusing and disorienting
like Space!......;):P:cool:
