steam trading cards

Post by not_hawkeye »

hey just wondering if it would be possible for you to make this game some trading cards for steam i would love more than any other game to have a foil evochron mercenary badge and emotes and backgrounds and such probably more work for vice but i think it would add another facet for the community to enjoy and even small profits for the devs! just a suggestion but i think its something worth thinking about i myself love the steam trading card economy

Trading cards (including badges and emoticons) for EM should now be live on Steam.

I'm relativelly new on Steam and have no idea what that is either LOL!:P

I'm guessing that since I didn't buy/install it from Steam I will
not see them?

Good thing!

Too bad I'm an old nut around here and still keep the non-steam version... easier to mod too I guess.
Best regards

The Ubisoft/Uplay people also have a similar routine for all of their games (TSO, Anno On-Line/Anno 2070, and etc.). Seems to work, and players can exchange/trade-in game goodies and 'earned' player points, like the trading card routine available on the Steam network. Or so it appears. They also have some pay-to-play offerings, which I keep resisting. :)

Marv, take a look, especially at the Anno On-Line site. 'Rubies' for cash. Other items for rubies/cash, cash/rubies, which is the 'trade tender' in-game. They can also be earned in game, but it takes so darned much to get them. S'why I threw in the towel on that one. Got to a point where it was 'either/or' ... I said " E-Nuff".... 'Sides, it was really too much of 'lead you around by the nose' for me. Way set in concrete.

Those I can understand. 'Though I was surprised to discover that Silent Hunter Online wasn't Ubi's first foray into the "earn gold bars in-game" option.

I am now the proud owner of a Level 1 Evochron Mercenary STEAM badge. Only 4 more levels to go....

FYI you can complete a trading card set by selling your duplicate trading cards and purchasing the missing ones. STEAM has a really active Trade and Buy/Sell network. I completed the set with no end cost.

Crafting the badge gave me a background, emoticon and EM Badge.

Doing my small part to promote the game by proudly featuring my EM Badge on STEAM!
