I've been playing for a few hours now and running back and forth to Atlas system to make some money. I decided to build a trade station right next to the gate from Cerulean to Atlas and now I am picking up a Terrain Walker for 5.5 mil, popping through the gate and selling for 11.5 mil. Takes less than a minute each way... plus there's often excaliber missiles which go from 1.7 to 3.4 mil, stealth generators which make 250,000 profit each, afterburners from 670,000 to 1.3 mil, deploy constructors from 1.1 mil to 2.2 mil - need I go on...
Plus, it's safe as houses, no-one to shoot me down...
Now, what to do with all this money...?
Money...

Greetings and welcome to the game
A perennial problem. The more you have the more things like stations and licences will cost you. . . personally I have around 13 000 000 000 and so don't have to worry any more - I can spend my time doing what I want.
Some player find it frustrating - they want to have to keep earning their living. Others are like me - happy to do other things in the game. If you are one of the former, you could give all your money away and in future earn it in harder ways - trade in basic things rather than the selling weapons or explore and find one of the fabled platinum asteroid fields (yes they do exist) or do one (or all) of the quests - 'Over the Hill' or 'The Hitch Hiker's Guide' quests
There is a recurring discussion about making money harder to get or easier to lose or creating money sinks (rare and very expensive items of equipment for example). I think Vice keeps tinkering with things (and listening to players' suggestions!) on this one, but I think that what it comes down to is basically - if you have too much money then you've chosen a too easy route and denied yourself the satisfaction of grafting for your living.

I have a rather large bank also but I have items stored at many stations that charge fees on a regular basis.
in my case its about 35 mil per payment cycle.
so when my bank roll gets below a certain level, I go build it back up

117 Billion and climbing. Not so easily earned, lest you discount Clan system(s) control maintenance efforts, long-distance trade runs, beta testing, and the like. A fair distance outside the box......
(that also doesn't include the several billions I've awarded in 'scholarships'... with the sole stipulation to 'pay it forward'.)
