hi folks,
when i take a "kill A.D.J." mission or "transport 17 Metl to freighter" Mission on Sirius A the mission fails as soon as i leave the atmosphere. Is that a bug and if yes, is it a known one?
I dont understand whats happening there, there is no visible reason for the failure to appear.

Check the edge of the sector on the nav map and make sure you don't leave it as you depart the atmosphere. You may need to fly around a bit to make a safe jump and remain in the sector.

that will be definitely it. i already noticed the narrow gap between planet surface and sector edge as its difficult to place a waypoint near the city but far enought to be safe when you want to land from a short distance after jump

It'll change over time to as the planet rotates. Eventually, the city will be on the other side away from the sector edge. There are only a few locations in the game where the confines are that tight and then, only temporarily as the planets spin. Most of the time, you'll have plenty of room to work with in navigation and contract waypoints.

hah, that again is fascinating - the planet rotates and that effect ceases over time. Its no problem anyway, now that i know ill adjust my departure curve from the planet as you say. mainly, i was just curious if im doing something wrong or whats the matter anyway. i just could have taken missions elsewhere but on the planet
but that holding the departure low again reminds me of elite2 planetside secret base photograph missions, where you had to coordinate your descend and you would drop at an low altitude from some distance of a base to eventually hover at high velocity and low altitude over the base ahead. ah those times
evochron takes one back to some beautiful degree
