Velocity problems and Configure Controls issues

Post by Gungriffen »

I'm currently playing the demo and on the brink of buying the game BUT my Velocity is stuck at 407. When I press 1 or 0 it does fall or rise and when I press W/S same thing. Problem is when I release it, it goes back to 407 (The 5 key) I hope that isn't supposed to be how it works. Backspace will bring me to 0 velocity as long as I keep it held down. Once released, it goes back to 407. Annoying when I'm trying to press other buttons and hold Backspace or 0.

Also in Configure controls when I double click a button to change it I.E. I want to change Target Next Ship Button 3 to Button 2 on my joystick. It deletes the T Key instead and I can't do anything else except press Restore Defaults. Are these Demo issues? Because to my under standing the demo IS the game on a time limit.

Sounds like you are in joystick/gamepad control mode and have an axis channel bound to throttle. Locate which one it is in the Configure Controls menu and clear that axis if you want to control throttle with only the keyboard. Also check to make sure you haven't speed matched your throttle (M key).

The only time the game should delete a key from the list is if you click on the 'Clear Key' button at the bottom. Otherwise, your double click may be registering another input signal to the game unnecessarily. Do not double click your selection, just click on it once and then select your new key/button binding you want to use.

It also has a limit on the number of star systems you can visit.

You can go into training mode and ignore the instructor as this does not deplete your DEMO time.
