After getting a new computer and installing evochron I noticed I have no pilots
After searching and reading some forum topics about it, it appears I was suppose to save some data files.
Is this correct that the pilot is not on the severs but on my local computer and needs to be backed up ?
Please advise

Yes, you are correct. There are two locations where Mercenaries installs on your system, under normal conditions. One is the game folder, with the executable file itself. The other folder is basically the save-data folder where your pilot profile(s) are placed/stored. Both folders are marked "sw3dg" and inside - "Evochron Mercenary". Not sure of the exact file routings, as they are variable with the individual. But, you can easily recognize the differences. It is the sw3dg-Evo-Mercs folder with the pilotX.sw (where "X" is a number value corresponding to your pilot list.), keymap, maplog, flightlog and etc. files. This entire folder is the one to be saved/backed up as often as you can manage. Well, maybe you can skip the legacy pilot folder and the planet folder, also included if/when present. Hope you can rescue your profiles. If you can't, send me an u2u. I may have a remedy for you....

I uninstalled the game from my old computer I hope the folder is still there
I was cleaning up the old computer to sell it on craigslist and installed all the new stuff on this computer.
I'll check it tomorrow and see if the folders are there perhaps I can still get them.
Although it's not critical because I didn't really play that long to begin with when I first started so it would not be hard to get to that level again. However, I can only imagine if I had build up stations etc. and didn't know about this topic OUCH
Thanks for the reply

Also, as long as you didn't manually delete the save data folder, your profiles are still there and you'll just need to copy them over. Uninstalling the game does not remove your save data content, that is left behind for situations like yours and you can still retrieve it.
