Hi Guys! I bought and loaded up the game(Love it BTW). I have 2 drives one for OS and another for apps. I put the game on my apps drive(D:) and then started it up to find it created another folder on my OS(C:) drive with the same name. I also decided to try the prerendered mode which put all of the prerendered files in the OS(C:) drive. Could you please explain this behavior to me. Also and most importantly where do any mod files I want to use go. This IMHO is an odd behavior for a game. I am kind of anal about my computer as I have spent several thousand US$ on it and DO NOT like having files placed all over my computer or screw with my registry in any undisclosed locations. SORRY if this sounds like bing and complaining. Don't take it that way like I said I may be a little computer anal, just a little insight will help my mind.

the game uses 2 folders, 1 for the game and 1 for settings, pre-render data and pilot saved profiles (sw3dg folder on c drive default)

download the customization kit and read the readme file.
http://www.starwraith.com/evochronmerce ... naryCustom...

you can move the sw3dg folder (save game folder) to another drive or location with a text file mod.
all mod info is there

also, feel safe in knowing this game does not alter your regestry

 Capt, this is a duplication of another thread ... but your explanation here is more complete. So, I'll let this one stand and delete the other thread.

Adoma, the answers and options you're looking for to point the game to use any location you want along with details on the how's and why's are here: http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3433

Aside from registering with Windows as part of installation (as with any installable Windows program), the registry is not touched at all for where the game writes to and reads from. I too do not like a bunch of garbage written to the registry of my system and as such, my game has very minimal involvement with the registry at all. Instead, it relies on a simple file and folder system to manage save data and its entirely customizable. It also uses a similar system for its mods/custom file options and the planet data system is linked to the save data folder options, both also not involving the registry at all.
