I think that is controlled by the Hudtext.dat file from the customizing kit. I have shown what mine looks like below if you want to give it a try. I could be wrong tho.

Not sure of the lead location to original.:)

You can edit this to change the location of the info as needed. I have the instructions at home and will try to post later.:)

It's part of an explorer package available at SeeJay's website. The link is in SeeJay's sig. It should be in his Downloads section ... 'though I don't remember what it's called.

I see now , i thought it was only a texture pack for the maps . I'll try out the hudtext from the explorers pack and see if it works.

 Instructions for moving the hudtext data to the desired location on your monitor can be found in the Customizing Kit's ReadMe file.

b2-compass.png is too big to make it an attachment at the forum. It should be in the Explorer Kit at SeeJay's website. Check the mod's hud folder.

That's the name of the file. If you download the latest version of the Customizing Kit, you can look inside the Kit's hud folder and find two files ... one using the name mentioned above and also the shadow for that file. The files in the Kit are without modification ... the files at SeeJay's website have been modified with the added frame for the PPOS and Cargo readouts. The file names are current. If Seejay's files are old, I'll check and let you know.

:o Stand by ... I checked both of SeeJay's websites. The new version is at neither. Ergo, I'll email SeeJay ASAP with a copy. Depending on when he can get around to it (this being Easter weekend), I'll post when the mod becomes available.

 Zipped file sent to SeeJay (395kb).

I've attached the files independently. Both are zipped. The shadow file also includes the hudtext file for proper placement of the data. Unzip both folders and drag the files into your "hud" folder. If you don't already have a "hud" folder, create one, name it "hud" (without the quotes), drag the files into the folder and then drag the folder into the main game folder.

The shadow appears to be the wrong size :P the file must have been saved too small somehow.

Once SeeJay has the whole set uploaded to his new website, I'll DL the package and check it out. For the time being, you can pull the shadow out of the folder and then the default shadow will appear instead. On a light background, the modded boxes will pretty much disappear ... but, then again, so will the text.

If you mean that the shadow is only 512x512 while the basic .png is 1024x1024 ... the size difference is deliberate. The shadow is, by design, fuzzy and therefore doesn't need to be of as high a resolution as the basic grapic. Nonetheless, the game will mesh the two graphics so that they display at equal sizes.

 I use JSGME. Even the Borg couldn't come up with an easier method of assimilation.
