Hi Guys, been playing for a while on the single player and something totally awesome happened. I was in the sierra system, and I opened up a trade request, the guy had nothing to trade but I clicked the request information button and forked out around 15,000 credits. The guy said, 'This contraband is given me to much heat, do you want it?'.
I did not know what it was but clicked yes and there in my cargo bay was a terrain walker. I docked at the station, sold the terrain walker, and bought it back to place it in the equipment bay. How good is that!

Enjoy using it - it's cannon and mining beams is better than the standard and there are containers to collect from planets that have some cool stuff in - as well as the commoner stuff!

Hi and welcome.
You don't need to sell/buy it to install it on your ship.
Make sure you have an equipment slot available, then just right click on the item in your cargo bay and it will be installed.
You got to be docked when you do it thou!;)

Yep, the 'Request Information' option is very good indeed! It also has nothing to do with where you're at. I've already scored Terrain Walkers, Cannon Heatsinks, and even an Anti-Missile system, all by simply tooling around sector 0.0.0 (Evochron Station, Sapphire), and bugging AI for info!
Like SeeJay said, as long as your docked at a trade station, and have the open equipment slot, all you need to do is RIGHT-CLICK the item to move it from your cargo to the slot - or vice versa.;)
