'Crimson' VMU/Betty

Hello all, I've been having great fun with the game recently so have decided to do some small mods for sound, music and hud.

This is the first of my small mods, for the voice message unit found in the cockpit of the ship. It is a synthesised male voice that replaces the default 'bing betty' sounds for a different feel.


Background

'A recent offering by Edgeworld Aerospace, the Crimson operating system has seen growing use on the fringeworlds outside of alliance and federation controlled sectors.

The default VMU from this system, proving popular with pilots, has recently been made available as a stand alone module for use with other, widely used spacecraft operating systems.

The company hopes that, by doing so, it will increase the awareness of its brand in the realms of spacecraft construction and engineering pending the release of a full OS update targetting the mercenary market.'

Install / Deinstall

Unzip the file into your main evochron install directory. To remove, simply delete the extracted alerts folder.

Wow! Some really good work done here. I like it!

Glad you like it, the base voice is a synthesised reader, but i modified it quite heavily to get it to sound similar to something i had in mind.

I plan to make a modification of available few huds into a new colour scheme, and bundle this with it to get a new feel. If i have time, ill even have a crack at making a whole new hud.
