Some of the planets have repetitive tiles for their surface appearance from space.

Is there any way to get rid of that?

Those tiles almost look like logos for some company.

I know what you mean, and it has bothered me too sometimes. But I guess there's not much we can do about it

Once you've launched your pilot profile, in the Options Menu, how do you have your Planet Rendering set ? Pre-generated or otherwise ? Check the Instructions/Read-Me file. Up front, there's a bit of a note on textures, graphics detail, and planet rendering. And, there's a "Known Issue" note for under-performing systems. It may be a trade-off on your system's capacities, or game-play "qualities" to get this resolved for you.

Hmmmmmmm....

I have the planets pre rendered. IE: loaded on to and taking up more space on the hard drive.

I don't think that my system is slow.

What do you think splosives? Are you seeing the same thing as I?
This tile like effect is only on a few of the planets. Ones with snow and white areas for example.

I didn't post under technical because I thought this was more an in game graphic???

I will do a screen shot.

Some textures on certain planets can appear looped more than others (at least at some elevations). It is a normal part of the texturing system of the terrain (one texture can be used repeatedly while holding down memory use). Reducing the effect would either involve lowering the loop rate, thus reducing the level of detail, or changing certain textures to remove visible duplication features at a distance, which could also reduce detail. There isn't much that can be done on the settings side of things, it would require altering the textures themselves, which may be done at some point in the future.

This has nothing to do with personal settings. Like vice said, it's an "issue" with the textures themselves. Everyone has it.
