Things are turning around for me

Post by Cybrdroyd »

I got my hands on the renegade hull and built it up for mining/trading and hauling and to survive some fights. I don't go looking for fights, but when they do happen, I can survive against hostile A.I. now.

It flies like a greyhound bus, but it can take some hits. ;)

Yep! Whut he said! Trade-offs betwixt engines (power), wings (agility/thruster pkg), and shield level (C-1 thru 10). Mil frames are standardized to a purpose, somewhat rather obviously to kill in large quantities. Civ frames can be customized/pimped-out to suit the particular need - be it mining & trade, PvP versus AI combat load-outs..... the possibilities are limited only by one's imagination...

Well..... and the available crafting materials easily to hand. ;)

I'm just happy to be able to live through some stuff. I have 12 kills, some of them happened with 2 on me at once, and some while I was out of missiles. Plus I was able to turn the loot they dropped into some serious cash. One of them dropped platinum and another dropped some fusion stuff which I was able to make something really cool out of it and sell it for big credits. I noticed the AI likes to hang out at jump gates, adds a degree of excitement to those long trade runs :)

Good on ya Cybrdroyd.

It looks like your getting the hang of things. Great!;)

Before you know it, your up against 10 AI's and you'll survive with no problems at all!;)

Have to admit, the majority of my kills are without missles. It almost feels too easy

Missiles make sense for the opening attack, but after that it's a lot of turning and burning for me. I think its very satisfying seeing your opponent catch fire and you can hit "U" and see what their damage is, very cool. :) What I don't like is with the screen shaking, makes it hard to see your shield indicators. All I can do is hit the balance shields button.

Really glad I gave this game a second look, it's been sitting on my hard disk forever. Got it on a steam sale by chance I happened to see it about 6 months to a year ago. This game beats anything the major game makers come out with. It has lasting appeal. It starts out really slow, but then its really up to you how fast or how slow you want to go. In the beginning I wasn't even sure how to leave sapphire until I discovered the jump gate, and decided to go check it out, then BOOM! I was in another system and there were unfriendlies on me, lol. That was a huge surprise for me, lol. After that I did a lot more exploring and that's when the game really opened up and shined for me. Great stuff!

Other players have been very helpful showing me how to make money in the game, giving me combat tips and pointing me in the right directions.

 They also like trade stations. Try docking at a station in a Fair or Moderate system, cycle thru your views, and watch how the AI interact near the station.
