Navigation console not working while in Sol

Every time I travel to Sol the navigation console starts acting weird. Whenever I try right clicking to set a way point to a destination or zoom into a sector it becomes blank. Even when I try typing in the exact coordinates and jumping there I end up in a random location. Has anyone else encountered this issue and how to fix it? Thanks for the help.

Can you post a screenshot of before you right click and after? That we, can see what you're seeing and can probably determine what is happening. Odds are, you are above the SY plane one or more sectors from the location you are trying to zoom in on.

Yeah shortly after I posted I saw that I was above on the SY plane. I guess I got knocked off course somehow on the way there. Thanks for the quick reply though.
