Just now my computer has quote "died". Me and the tech who I was talking to over Skype tried every possible way to save my gamesaves but with no success... all was lost in our attempt to save what we could. Our only option was to abandon ship (plan to make a fan fiction out of this). As of today I will start out with a new life in the Evochron Universe.

Sorry to hear Zcoolman, hope you get back up to speed fast, the most important saves would have been your pilot profiles these are easy to copy as a backup on any media and easy to import back into the game!. A USB flash drive would have been good to save profiles to just in case you ever loose them!.....Always back up on external media any thing you worked hard on to achieve!....

Sorry to hear your news
I suspect you will have tried it have but I'll mention it anyway: if it wasn't the hard disc that died, you might be able to extract it and connect it as an external drive to your new machine (might need a carrier case, or be able to borrow one) - if so, you should be able to get your old profiles out of the Evochron main folder.
Too late this time perhaps, but hard drive space is dirt cheap (5 cents/Gb or less) - I have always fitted a second drive (same size as the first) in my PC to back all the important stuff at high speed and then a third (and hence slower) external drive just in case - or as Maars says, use a pendrive
Before the invention of "the cloud", someone I knew uploaded really important data to an "invisible" page on the website he ran!
- nothing is truly new

I am now back up to speed on Evochron. I just want to say thank you for the offers of help. Now after this I will always keep a pilot profile on my external hard drive or by other means, again thanks for the help.
I have skype and oovoo if anyone has it if you do feel free to contact me.
