I'd suggest trying the demo.

It might with all Graphics settings on the lowest setting but you will be pushing your System to its Limits. The bottle necks are going to be available consecutive memmory, and your Dual core Processor 1.3 Ghz. Also your Graphics Card is a bottle neck if it is intergrated!......;) The Demo might run Fine but it is a good place to start to test performance!....;)

As long as your on-board graphics can handle shader2 or better physics, and you've enough resources on the card/embedded chip, you should be allright. Vice has posted the recommended minimums for gaming system needs on the Mercs-site download page. I'm with Zex & Maars on the possibility you can run/play the demo, with in-game graphics set to lowest. And you might want to consider the option of pre-generating the planets, or not. Won't find out what it does 'til ya run the beastie! System memory load from other back-ground applications seem to be the game-crashers for most. Then there's the consideration of your inter-net lash-up, if you've a desire for on-line Multi-Player activities. The game itself will require you to have the "full-meal-deal" installled, rather than merely the demo, for on-line MP-play. Hope we've helped some. :)

In my opinion you need more ram a dedicated graphic card to have a chance. Please tell us if works. I run a 2.0 AMD Dual core with 4GB of memory and dedicated graphic card and play the game great around 40 FPS using Windows 7.
