GMC Prime server having trouble?

I tried to join and it gives me this "This server allows only Multiplayer profiles"

I don't get it, the other servers work fine. I mostly play on starport 6, but wanted to see if gmc being number one on the list was more populated as it seems like there are very few players on some servers for such a vast universe.

There was a post already on this Issue. It is the Server Operator who can set up the Server to allow only Multiplayer profiles, meaning a clean starting new profile that has not been used in Single Play or on another Multiplay Server. And if you do try to connect via join/host with the IP address given you get the regular error Server is full or IP address is wrong message and showing that maximum players is set to 4!....

Oh... Well that's just whatever. I'll stick to starport 6 I guess then.

I noticed that too and wondered why or what that meant. What's the purpose of that?

The purpose is that every one starts at the same level on the Server. So that you cannot spoil the game for some one else by coming with an Advanced ship and killing all the New comers!....

What was the message you received from the Server trying to connect with this clean new profile?
