[EM] When opening nav, iventory, and other dialog windows, everything else is blackened

Hi,
I'am new here (just buy the game) so maybe it's not a bug, but after looking at videos on youtube I see that everybody still see space after opening any console, it's blackened, but still visible.

On my conputer, I cannot see anything expect console and the three bottom hud screens when opening console, or when I just dock on station or planet.

Anybody got suggestions for me, and no my luminosity is correct on my screen or in gameplay phase

I'am running a windows 8 pro 64bits
with I7 3930k
16gb ram,
geforce 580 with latest nvidia drvs.

Can you post a few screenshots of what you're seeing? Particularly with a planet or some other bright object in the background.

Also, you noted that you're using Windows 8, can you descend to planets without interruption on that OS? If so, did you install Windows 8 as a fresh install, or did you upgrade from an older version of Windows?
