It appears that v2.x may ignore the threat level file convention, as each music file now plays randomly, instead of per threat level. For instance, both mid and high level threat music files (musiclevelX-2 and musiclevelX-3) will sometimes play w/ no (zero) hostile targets in the area, and the low level threat music file (musiclevelX-1) will sometimes play when surrounded by hostile targets.
Anyone else?

The naming structure has changed in 2.X from 1.X, which may cause some confusion. The threat level value and set values are now reversed (to help make it easier to keep the groups sorted by their sets). So if you're using old music filenames designed to work with 1.X, they won't likely play correctly with the 2.X format. If that isn't it, then I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working as that's the only significant change to the system (details on this and other changes are available in the revised 2.X customizing kit: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronmerce ... tomKit.zip ).

Thanks again Vice, I did read the new CK readme, but I didn't catch the numerical reversal. I'll rename the music files and report back...

Vice, I reversed the set/threat level numerical scheme and everything works again as advertised. Thanks again.

this doesn't seem to work with my version 2.108 or I didn't get your explanation right.
[--EDITED--]
Do you mean that in version 1.x the custom files for thread-level 1 where named like that...?
musiclevel1-1
musiclevel1-2
musiclevel1-3
musiclevel1-4
musiclevel1-5
...
If I do that in version 2.x, and if I add tracks for level 1/2/3 threats, then the menu will play a level 3 track (hostiles) and neutral situation in-game will also start playing level-3 tracks.
in version 2.x, the new naming convention would be like that...?
musiclevel1-1
musiclevel2-1
musiclevel3-1
musiclevel4-1
musiclevel5-1
...
If I do that, then it works, but the game will crash just when loading is finished if I add more than 3 tracks per thread-level, although my system has 8 GB of RAM.
Thanks to clarify,
XenonS

There can only be three threat levels per group. If you exceed that, you'll likely encounter a crash when the game can't find a required threat level in a group. The format is this:
musiclevelX-Y.ogg
X is the group value, Y is the threat level. Y should never exceed 3 and should always have a full set of 1, 2, and 3 in each group. So each group would look like this:
musiclevel1-1.ogg
musiclevel1-2.ogg
musiclevel1-3.ogg
musiclevel2-1.ogg
musiclevel2-2.ogg
musiclevel2-3.ogg
And you could continue with set 3, 4, etc.
