I find the G940 a brilliant controller, easy to hold, a LOT of features on it and you have the trottle, stick and rudder all on 1 USB.
Easy to configure in games too, even antient games like Freespace 2.
I use it mainly for IL2 Sturmovik 1946 and Cliffs of Dover where this stick opperates brilliantly, especially the force feedback is so well done that it makes aiming a lot easier due to the stiffness of the stick, with a floppy wonky stick you tend to fly pretty erratic but with the force feedback I can aim so precise I almost feel like a sniper at times.
It's a very robust design as well, I am pretty sure I can bash someones skull in with that base and it would still work afterwards.
This also makes the stick and throttle very steady on the desk, it doesn't slide all over the place when you are yanking them around during flying.
The rudders are also very rebust and precise in use, I use em in Evochron to roll the ship left and right.
They stay in place very well on a smooth surface and if you have carpet you can click down 2 pads with small teeth on em that will grab your karpet to keep em in place.
My friends and I got this system as a gift from Logitech after we used em during a military flight event weekend in the Military Aviantion Museum in Soest. We got them on lend as promotion material and after the event the guy from Logitech was so pleased with the way we promoted the product not to mention how enthausiastic we where about the G940 ourselves (not so difficult since the system is just brilliant) he said we could all keep it.
So I am not just saying all of this because I got it for free, even if I had to buy it afterwards I would have.
I used the Saitek X45 and the X52 in the past but they are not able to compete against the G940 if you ask me.
