Earth landing

Any ideas or tips for actually landing on Earth?

There are a couple of Earth Landing threads with lots and lots of info about how to fail spectaculalry! Plus some very cryptic hints from the only pilot to have succeeded in EM to date!

Argh I hate how this is a huge secret but I suppose its one of those things that just keeps people coming back for more. I'm going to hang around sol for a while (After I get my new joystick to work properly) and try to make it to Earth.

If you can not keep a huge secret do not bother trying to Land on Earth. One of the rules of this contest is you swear to secrecy if you figure it out!

And this is no clue or hint either, well relatively speaking of course!.....

Lol, I've spent so much time trying to figure out how to land on Earth...
I'm almost positive I'm on the right track

I guess I find out in a week or two, when the frustation wears off and patience becomes a virtue again.

Vice, if this lowly Ensign can ask, will the upcoming expansion affect the method of landing on the Earth? I only ask because it would bite to have spent soooooooo long chasing the dream... and maybe getting close?(I hope)... to have to solution altered. I doubt you shall, but none the less, the fear ran through me
