I got a new system on order.
Tell me how I did
any guess on expected framerates in merc?

Hey, can u tell me how well i'll run EM on my new computer?

AMD Sempron(tm) 140 Processor 2.70 GHz

2.00 GB (RAM)

Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium

And i can't find my Vid card's specs anywhere...

I have a similar system (Dual core) and i can run with all settings to the highest value.

You might have intergrated Graphics Processor on the Motherboard. Device manager should have info on Display Adaptor if Graphics Card is installed. Also should show up when right clicking on desktop select Screen Resolutions from menu and select Advanced Settings from screen menu.

nah, i know i don't have integrated. dose Nivida do integrated video cards? Anyway, found out that my video card is a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 at least, according to steam...

well my new system has arrived, and without any tweaking i'm getting a little over 100 fps with merc running at max settings.
70+ fps on planet surface.
game loading time went from 3.5 minutes to 25 sec.
my windows expierence scores are 5.9 on hdd (getting a ssd later) and 7.2 to 7.5 on the rest. running win7 ultimate 64 bit

very pleased and for just $610 !

after returning 3 times for repair, at $40 a pop and no refund after 30 days, this new machine made a great bullet stop for my winchester 12 gauge. oh well back to my old machine, 30 fps in merc but at least it runs without crashing every few minutes
