Votes needed for game!

It's been a while, as I'm quite busy with my own game company, Vlambeer. The co-founder and I have decided that it's going well and all, and we're in need of your help!

I'm sad I can't be more involved here anymore, but I'm lurking around and making my monthly donations to Vice, so I'm still watching you - it's good to see the community evolving and growing.

In any case, Vlambeer by now has published one game called Super Crate Box, as you might remember. Super Crate Box is enlisted in several 'Indie Game of the Year'-contests, and that's where you come in.

All I would ask is for you to download Super Crate Box at www.supercratebox.com , give it a few goes and if you feel the game deserves it, to vote for Super Crate Box at the following contests:

Bytejacker - Free Indie of the Year (Poll on the right)
IndieDB - Top 100 Indies of the Year

Of course, if you just feel like supporting Vlambeer without playing the game, that's really cool too, but we'd rather participate a game contest than a popularity contest.

I'll be letting you guys know how things turn out. We're also enlisted in the Independent Game Festival later this year in San Fransisco, so root for us!

Thanks a lot for the votes everyone! We just won the IGN's "Best free-to-play PC Game 2010" award and we really hope to add a top-10 listing at IndieDB or a win at Bytejacker to the list!

And MM, if you can't get it to work, that probably is because you do not have WinRAR on your PC. You can drop me an e-mail at [email protected] and I'll set you up through remote assistance. Do mind that Super Crate Box is extremely fast, difficult gameplay - like in the good ol' days of arcade gaming

To be honest, this game did not make me cry. It made me swear several times, bang the keyboard once, throw the mouse at the cat, threaten to delete it then absorb several hours of my time.

@ Atollski, it's not the games that make me cry, but my inability to install zip files.
I can download them, but after that, it's anyone's guess what happens to them.
I have long since learned my lesson and no longer attempt to download a zip file.
Just one of many of my computer related limits. "Copy & paste" is another one. I think I did it once, but haven't been able to do it again. There are others, but those two are the most notable ones.
Ah, yes! I can't figure how to post pics either. I could go on, but it just gets even more embarrasing.
