So, I've been playing EM for about a week now. I think on the first day someone on Remula One said something along the lines of "Be careful or it will take over your life."

I wasn't careful... darn.

I've been having a fantastic time flying from planet to planet taking on contracts or just exploring. I've been to uncharted worlds and I've been inside asteroids. I've been initiated by F2-ing into an asteroid and getting blasted out of space by Oasis. And I've been having a blast the entire way through.

I think one of the best aspects of the game that I didn't anticipate while purchasing was the quality of this community. A lot of communites post something along the lines of "just ask questions in game and the good players will be happy to help" in their forums and what it really amounts to is just a baseless gesture.

Here I've found that statement has been completely true and I just want to thank the likes of Parapilot, Eclipse, Maiz, Oasis, Joker, Ophiuchus, and others for helping a poor noobie figure out the game.

Also Riddley for being my partner in New-ness.

And thanks Vice for defying all logic and making such a fantastic game all by himself.

Hi Valhanis, your post echoes my thoughts exactly.

I'm pretty sure we bought Mercenary on the same day, and we've both been living on Remula One since then (I wasn't careful either)! Thanks to you and Parapilot for taking me on my first long range expedition. It was a little nerve wracking being out that far in a Talon but you two were on point and it turned out well.

I'm amazed at both the quality of Vice's work and this community.

Not sure if I can make it on after work today but I'm itching to try out my new Legacy build. Spent about an hour in a shipyard last night tweaking it right down to the perfect component dimensions and placement, before I had to pass out.
