Hi, I'm haveing problems with the customizing kit

I have tried installing a custom ship and it will appear in the hanger, i can select and fly it, it works with A.I. ships and appears in my target display but when i try any kind of external view, CTD with error that reads;

Runtime error 7026 - You must link limbs in chain sequence 61924

I re-named the sample mesh in the kit to frame40.x and tried it with the same results.

I'm no expert modeler but I get by. Any ideas or suggestions where the problem might be?

it is a single object, but that does'nt explain why the sample mesh wont work.
I renamed the sample mesh to frame40.x and dropped it in the ships folder by itself. and when i try external view, i get runtime error 7008 object not found object:50
is there something missing in the sample?

Any object does need to be a single mesh, the game actually adds more 'limbs' in code to assemble the model in memory. Not sure why frame40.x wouldn't work as it's a direct export of the mesh used in the game. Perhaps there are other files lingering in the \\ships folder or other folders that are causing problems.

frame40.x is the only file in ships folder. I can see and select model in the shipyard and fly it. a.i. ships of same model render normaly and show up on target display.

but when i press "V" or "\\" for external view of own ship i get CTD with following error:

runtime error 7008 - Object does not exist at line 61938.
Object Number Not Found: 50

I cant think of anything in my system that would cause this.
could someone please test and confirm external view works with sample mesh?

I have a BSG cylon raider I would love to finish for merc.
but on hold until i can fix this.

Negative, doesn't work with sample mesh(s)...
