Hi Vice, any chance at getting an auto level button? I use my mouse and keyboard most of the time and would really like an auto level control. This could be a control that a player would push to auto level the ship or a control option that would keep the ship level at all times. If not now how about putting the request on your possible future stuff list?;)

Maybe, although I'm becoming very selective in adding any more key binding slots (trying to keep things possible on a standard keyboard). However, you can auto-level your ship now with just a few clicks. With the nav console open, click on the 'Set Loc' button (move it slightly away from you if desired), then activate the autopilot, your ship will auto-level to that point.

thetiebers by "auto level" did you mean automatically roll your ship so the Y angle ladder is vertical or did you mean automatically orient your ship so it is on the ecliptic (Y angle=0)?
The procedure Vice described will cause your ship to roll so the Y angle ladder is vertical but it will generally not orient you on the ecliptic. I don't see much use for that but there are many times when I orient my ship to the ecliptic (and then kill any lateral/vertical velocity) for efficient jumping to stations, carriers and gates so I think that might be what you had in mind.

Hi Aures, yes the ladder is what I meant. It helps me stay oriented. NP for now and I am making a larger board to hold my X52 and my new wide laptop so then won't need mouse so much.

Ok cool, I kind of like being disoriented:). Plus it feels cool to jump to a station and roll myself the right way up at the last second before the station captures me and automatically flips me the right way up.

It can be added as a mouose click command on top of the hud or on a side, no need to have it as keyb command as it's not an emergency command or a combat one.
It is handy when humping in gates or stations so that by activating it your ship will be oriented to 0 bearing and 0 ladder.

Sorry DennyMala, as thetiebers explained he was only talking about rolling the ship and not about pointing towards a particular direction (or plane).
