Script for ingame backup of save

Hi all,

I attached an ahk script which lets you backup your save from within the game. If you don't have/know ahk, get it from here, it's free (GPL), it's great.

Basically, hitting F12 saves && copies the save with a timestamp, while Alt-F12 lets you enter a description. Restoring must be done manually. Too lazy -and no longer interested- to write a readme. But should be self-evident

It also lets you bind your mouse buttons...window sensitive..they work normally outside from EM. Read the help file -hotkeys && keylist- to adopt it to your needs..it's easy.

I'm *pretty* sure, the game progress is saved in 2 files. Should the game decide to save your progress in a third file...well, too bad. After some hours of playing I found only 2 files which get chanced. So..GPL..use at your own risk...applies.

That said, it might be my first && last post in that forum. Unfortunally I already bought the game without demoing...my fault.The lack of a 'Pause' function in SP kills the game for me. I'm too old for some kind of adrenaline nerve-wrecking omg..missiles..where??..who??..MUST react..kind of game.

"Welcome Aboard Lollipop"....Thanks for the info above I am sure it will help out the pilots of Evochron...I routinely back up my files already but it's nice to know I have another option ...I have to admit I chuckled when I saw your name, it reminded me of the old TV series with Kojak, the detective that always had a lollipop in his mouth

You can use the Esc button as a pause.

No, you can't, cause it dims the screen.

Oh, and dicovered 'manual saving not allowed during contract'. That was it for me: uninstalled. Neither newbie nor SP friendly.

Too bad, the game has potential

The older you get, the more you need that kind of stuff to keep you awake.

ROFL.....Brave......If you have been awake for 900 years a couple of 100 years more should not make that much of a difference.......:P:P:P:P
