Question about Earth (possible spoiler)

Why is there a wall around the planet Earth? I've looked through the system info etc and can find no reference to it.

It's to stop you landing on it. Let's face it, if we could land on earth, many would be expecting a "Google Earth" style sceanario. I would think that just mapping earth out correctly would take up a helluva lot of HD space, not to mention a lot of programming. Maybe better just to leave it a tad mysterious!

You can land on Earth now. It's just not easy. Personally, I wish landing on Earth should be more rewarding considering the effort required.

Yup. The ring is also in Legends. Possibly, it was also in Renegades. Vets have had plenty of practice landing on Earth.

Somehow I see much explodifying of my ship in the vicinity of the Earth in my future. I already had a crack at it but I didn't expect it to work, now that I know there is a way I guess I will have to try again.

I just had a thought about something that I HADN'T tried...
When the audio warning comes across, try stopping and waiting? Maybe you need time to be granted clearance.

You think that with a rank of Fleet Admiral you should have all the security clearances to enter earth's atmosphere....only thing is your rank earned in Evochron does not mean a thing in Sol.....LOL....
