Mod list

Hi I'm new to the game and the site and I was just wondering if there was any list for released mods for Evochron Mercenary. Also I was wondering how big is moding for this game? And what types of mods are most often seen.

Hello Iracus, mods are just starting for Merc. You can do Mods for your HUD AND SHIPS and various other things. I have not done a lot but we have some that are very good at it. Welcome to the forum and the Sim. Have fun and hope to see you out there sometime.

Are mods basically just for visuals? Or are there mods that add features/items/ships/etc to the game?

You can't add ships but you can substitute a current ship's frame with a mod. You can do the same with cockpits ('though, IIRC, you can do more with cockpits ... assigning a different cockpit to each ship type) and you can create your own cities and assign them to different planets. You can also make modifications to the HUD.

Keep in mind, though, that this is a new game (happy anniversary, Mercenary ... today you're one month old!) so most of the modding tools are still in development.

Me too ... especially now, since there are more ships we can substitute.
