What to do next ?

Post by ( Tchey ) »

I'm new to Evochron, but i've played Eve Onlie a little and X2, X3 and X3TC, plus other games...

I'm more an explorer and traders than a fighter. My first thought is the Evochron give more "freedom feeling", but there is less things to do and accomplish than in X-Universe for example.

I've got my first million, bought a new ship with better cargo, drive, etc, done about 40 missions around Evochron Station.

I can't seem to find any questline, only basic contracts. Right now, i just go for a delivery or a cleaning mission, then i fly to asteroids to fullfill my cargo with Platinium and Diamonds, then come back to a station to sell. And repeat.

I bit lost. Where should i go ? What to do next ?

Thanks !

Some suggestions:

- If you're looking for more to do, don't limit yourself to just the three activities you mentioned.

- Leave Sapphire, 40 missions around Evochron station are fine, but you'll only be offered more diverse objectives once you leave the starting solar system.

- To get back to the quest, News Console > View Last Quest Message.

- Start trading. Pick some high value items, then start exploring surrounding solar systems for the best market types and values for those items. Try trading in equipment, weapons, and commodities to find the best options.

- Start racing, upgrade your ship's engine and take on ship-vs-ship racing.

- Try some fuel harvesting, explore for higher fuel prices and sell for profit.

- Get into multiplayer, join a clan, train/fly with others, coop and PvP.

- Become a gun turret operator for another player while they fly contracts/missions.

- Become a ship builder and learn profitable trade routes to sell the ships you design.

- Head for uncharted space, find unlisted solar systems, start expanding an empire with stations you build.

- Acquire a cloaking device and take on spy missions. Ambush hostile ships to loot their cargo.

- Utilize constructor stations for acquiring valuable items you can use or sell.

- Head for a war zone and begin a military campaign.

- Start exploring planet surfaces. Hunt for shipwrecks to loot.

.... and that's just for starters!

Hi Tchey, if you decide you'd like to join a clan then the Universe Explorers [UE] might appeal to you! Our primary focus is on exploring, although combat is also sometimes part of the fun! I'm usually online evenings central European time, as is [UE]Haloterm so look out for us and you're more than welcome to team up for some missions.

Welcome.

MP is the way to play. I'm not with any clan, but it's much more fun in MP anyway.

I met up with a pilot the other night at Pearls secret planet. (Sinbad I think it was.)
When I docked at the city Sinbad was cruising above to keep the badies from my back
without me even knowing of it.
In return I stuck around keeping the sky clear when Sinbad was docked. This might not be much for some, but it ads a lot to the game when people help each other out there.

See ya out there?!

Yes, I noticed. :D
I'm just used to cruise around all alone in the darkness of space and see whats I might stumble on to! :P

Usually more darkness.

Hmm... I might try blockading a city on a hostile planet for fun, give them a real reason to be hostile to me. Then I will dock and buy some fuel and CMs from the blockaded city, there is always someone willing to take a bribe to let you dock and trade.
