Freetrack not being detected

Hello everybody, first of all I would like to thank Vice for this wonderful piece of ART, the industry of pc games wont die thanks to devs like him! :DThank you very much !

So Im about to buy the game but something is puzzling me, the game is not detecting my free track, when I try to enable it says "no compatible divice detected"

, what should I do, IL-2 is working just fine.

Sorry for the english, not my mother language.

Nobody knows whats wrong?

edit: gonna try to reinstall the game and see what happens.

I see you have the "3 Head Tracking: Off" in the screen shot. You should set this to 3 Head Tracking: On

It does not automatically turn on in game if you have the free track running. You have to turn it on in Game.....

When I click on it, it says "no compatible device detected" and remains off, but thanks for the input.

"Welcome Aboard gengiskhan"....I use TrackIR 4 and I know that it has to be on and running before I load up any game. Unfortunately I am not familiar with your Freetrack device....I hope you get it running soon! C you in MP when your ready

OK, does the Freetrack have a profile update link for it to download a Mercenary profile? or list of supported games? If so see if you can add Mercenary to the update list and see if it is there. And then try again....

Hi Maarschalk thanks for your help, so, I tried to reinstall but no success there, I even downloaded Evochron Renegade and the same thing happens. Im not sure what I am doing wrong.

I failed to find any update link in freetrack, but indeed it has a profile list. I do remember reading about other user using Freetrack in evochron with no problems... Gosh, this is frustrating

Some help from some one who uses freetrack would be really welcome.

Is Mercenary in the profile list? or can you add it?

Also another thing to try is uncheck Free track interface and just use only the Track IR interface Since Evochron Games work with Track IR.....

For sake of reference I own a TrackIR 5 device, and it works great with Evochron Legends and Evochron Mercenary using the software that came with it. I don't know what "FreeTrack" is, but I'd say try the software that the manufacturer supplies for the device and see if that works. It really adds a lot to the game.

Hi gengiskhan, I use freetrack with Evochron. The only time I have a problem is when I haven't started it before launching Evochron.

I suspect your problem might be your operating system. Do you have an XP system you could test it on? You should probably post on the freetrack forum as well.

Have you tried reinstalling Freetrack?

Hello friends, here goes an update: I am under winxp: here are my specs: Mobo Abit AM2 KN9S, VGA ELSA GLADIAC AION EDITION GeForce GTS 250, Processador Athlon 64 X2 AM2 4200 2200mhz @ 4600 2400 mhz Vcore STOCK, MÃ©moria 2GB Dual Channel 4 x512 Super Talent DDR2 800@960, FonteZalman 360W APS HD Samsung SATAII 80gb + Maxtor SATAII 320GB.

I tried to reinstall the game, reinstall freetrack, check and uncheck in all combinations possible the trackir & freetrack output, and nothing seems to make any diference: I open the game with freetrack running rock solid in the background, go to options inside evochron and fail to set ON the tracking device.

Guess I gonna have to try freetrack forum as a last resort....

I cant stand having the necessary aparatus and not being able to use it

Maybe a stupid questions but hey people some times over look the simpelest things. What kind of Camera or detection device are you using with your free track? Does the Software when running move when you move your head? Is the camera or detection device plugged in and running and detected by free track? Also did you install the driver or just the software for freetrack. Check your driver for free track. Maybe you need to install a driver for TrackIR to make free track work with Evochron games....
