Is there a manual for Mercenary that can be down-loaded? I'd like to know about all the new possibilities,e.g., constructors, mining beams, etc.

Yes there is and there is a link in one of your startup folders to the manual under start, all programs, Evochron Mercenary folder.....There is also one in your installed folder the read me html file....

You can also get to it in the training menu from the game's main menu, just click on the option that reads 'Close game and view instructions'.
