Trade Routes

Hi all,

I haven't had much time to play since release, and I'm still in Sapphire. I'm looking to make a lot of money fairly quickly, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any trade routes which would achieve this, while still being safe for a low level craft?

I'm taking contracts and mining a lot, but want to supplement this with some trading. It's been a while since I played EL, so I can't really remember what I used to run with.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I dont know, i started out by going straight to pearl. I just avoided confrontaion & jumped to a nebula or the rings of a planet. Have preset safe jump
coords so you can flee and start making those trade hauls.

Has anyone found any decently convenient hidden planets?

Many of the ones from legends are either gone or have moved.

I like lost rucker....

Nope, as they don't appear to be visible from their respective main systems. So it basically boils down to flying a spiral search pattern in the systems where the description text indicates the existance of a hidden planet (like Virgo and Aries).

If the older games are any indication, you could probably narrow it down to ring-shaped area 80-120 Sectors away from the main System coordinates. Someone who is better at math than me cook up an optimized search pattern based on that.

LOL....got me there....yep have to start the discovery of hidden treasures all over again......the pure platinum astroids in Lost Rucker have been contaminated with Diamonds and Metal ore.....or have mysteriously moved or transported some where else.....

There are no more roids of pure plat, but there are "specialized" mining beams that will just mine plat ot dia or gold, etc.
Those you have to find in your travels. they work on all roids & planets, but will apparently still mine oxygen as well. Haven't tried it on water yet.
And no, you cannot have more than one at a time!
Losrt Rucker is still there but like everything else, the co-ords have changed. The hidden planet in Lost Rucker is either gone altogether or has moved to only vice knows where.

I'm still waiting for one of those specialised mining beams to turn up, I've trawled through quite a few systems and have still yet to see one on the market. It would certainly make mining a damn sight easier!

Yes, there are still pure platinum roids....Just found a big one last night which has a Cave and one of those Energy pods and the Cave is made of pure Platinum ....atleast now I know what all the Platinum roids have been used for....LOL....
