Removing atmosphere friction burn (cheat request)

I'll be happy to do faster planetary descents but the atmospherical collision in high speeds really annoys me much.
Could a cheat be added (maybe via customization kit) to eliminate the friction and the relative burn effect ?

Not sure if that is possible at all, but in the meantime, here's how you can do a "fast" descent...

1. Shift power to the shields.
2. Approach the atmosphere at full tilt. You can pretty much go at 3000-4000 klicks, provided you have decent shields.
3. Turn your ship so that the underside faces the planet's surface.

You should drop rapidly now, stopping at an altitude between 30-60.000. Engage IDS and fly to your destination.

That and in EL there was a method (I don't know it) that you might be able to learn to jump straight to planetary docks though I don't know that you could jump out of them.

I'm not sure Vice would ever willingly add potentially "game breaking" cheats to the game. Cheating in a game like this really kind of ruins it for you and potentially others as well given that you can take your pilot into multiplayer.

Tried it.. was a pretty fireworks display for a few seconds hahaha
may have made E.T. jealous on how well i pulled it off lol.

It would be "game breaking" only for the one who decide to use it and of course it would be active only in single player mode

Doing what you suggest would require yet another variation between SP and multiplayer mode. 'Cause, we all gotta fly by the same restrictions when on MMaggio's server. In fact, if it was up to me, 3rd grade 3rd person view would be tossed out the window. Literally.

Hi darcsyde83, welcome to the game and forum. Yes in Legend there is a way to jump directly to a planets docking bay.....I have not tried it in EM yet...but should be fun to try.....
