REPUTATIONS.....

Honestly, I've never paid much attention to reputations except the general system reps. I'm learning so much lately, I wanted to dive in a little further. If I understand it, to improve your general reputaion in a given system you want to do contracts for the economies (i.e.--companies, navy,miners.) You should avoid guild & rebel contracts unless you want to loss your standing with the others and have your system reputation slide. Does it ever pay off to help the guilds & rebels?:o

Yes, when you just wan't to make lots of credits for your self and you do not care about your reputation. Guilds and Rebels pay you much better for contracts.

Looks like they're the only ones who give contracts to take out capital ships from what I'm seeing, too. Am I right? I mean I would miss that!

Vonari use capital ships ... and don't offer contracts.

this is maybe a good point,

can you make an effort to increase your rep with rebels and become one of them?

weould be cool, likege access to rebel stations and cities wih like rare stuff nd stuff, but of core the disadvantage of most ships in that region shooting at you

Yes, also when doing military missions you have the freedom to take out Vonari Capital ships or Battle cruises...and are ussualy part of the contract to complete mission. Same goes for doing contracts for Navy, Energy and Miners, you have the freedom to destroy Guild and Rebels Capital ships but the problem is I have never seen one so I do not think Rebels and Guilds have Capital ships and that is why there are no contracts involving destruction of Rebels and Guilds Capital ships.....LOL.....
