want a forum signature/avitar of your favorite ship? or perhaps something else, an anime character, or even based off a photograph? well youve come to the right place!
i have been doing GFX for a long time on and off, and enjoy doing little peices occationally... so i thought i'd see if anyone on here wants me to do them any forum signatures avatars.

I've been working on a signature generation system for pilots,
if you fancy doing a couple of background / layout images it'd be great. As it stads at the moment I've only got the capacity to generate the info shown on the siggy , but I'm hoping to be able to add more soon.
Actually that is very relative. E=1/2mc^2 according to some modern relativists....Sorry been restraining myself to long, could not help myself....LOL....:P:P:P:P

@marvin, I'm aware of the equation, that is actually the name of a pilot, and as you know there is no superscript in the naming so I would assume they chose that as an approximation

Sorry I read my first post again and it was a bit short, yes I'd love a couple of signatures, but in a sense I'm not asking for myself, I'm asking for everybody who's going to play EM. on a similar note I was going to try and struggle to make a system to implement pilot cards, a base for this would also be good. Here is an example of the renegades pilot cards.
i could d o some pilot card bases, if you tell me what info you want space for, what sorta design ect, oh and i may be able to work out some thresholds for removing the backgrounds from ship screen shots taken from the ship design window, so people can just load a screenshot from there into your prog and you can make it automatically make it fit seamlessly into the card, instead of having an image (or i could just simplify things and put an image border in lol)

pretty much the information you can see on the cards is what I can access atm, though I'm working on a system that should be able to grab any of the info thats available from the hud in EM.
as to the ships, the dynamic signature basically copies and pastes an image of the ship that I have as stock. I've not done all the ships in EM yet, but I'll rar the ones I have and send them to you, they do need to keep their original naming scheme though, but you can make them fit in with your background and tell me their coords ( top left x/y and width/height ). I think that the php GDL library can do some pretty funky things, but I've always kept it rather simple. I'll send you what I have of the clan and ranks icons too.

I had no doubt. But the asterisk is computer notation ... as is the carrot. So I couldn't figure why you'd use one but not the other. And, when you use that forumula, it begs to be written correctly ... be it a name or no.
what is your opinion on transparency? i was thinking make it based off the EL ui "windows" which are semi transparent, but i can work something else out...
oh and if you make them use stock photos, it won't reflect the awsome looks of custom builds, but is pose that's a lot harder to do, so the way you have it seems cool

I can work with transparencies but only on sharp edges, for instance the solid edge of a ship. but I tried to use a nice fade on a sun icon for the cartographic and it didn't work. within that they are cool.
so no semitransparent pixels? i was thinking of doing the background partly semitransparent, but it can always be made completely opaque, i'll design a background that will work either way, then when you use it, if it goes opaque it won't be an issue

yeah I'm not 100% what the issue is, it might be that its because I was converting from .gif to .jpg. I'll be having a play around with one of my GDL systems tomorrow so I'll check out if it only occurs on conversion ( and thus won't be an issue if all the images are .gif) or not. I'll let you know.
it would, jpg dosen't support transparency :p you need to keep everything in gif or something lol
EDIT: i just had an idea, i could do a series of cards, each more elaborate than the last that could be used based on the pilot's rank, meaning improving your rank would get you a better looking card...
