You can always store the left overs in the storage of the hangar bay. You fill up your five cargo bays and missile slot first and see how many are left for sale and store that amount from your cargo bays in the Stations cargo bays which can hold five FTs and then buy the left overs on sale to fill up your ships cargo bay and make your trade run and come back to load up the rest from storage. You can do this with two stations at a time so you can store a total of 10 FTs spread over 2 Stations.........Originally posted by MarvinOriginally posted by DennyMala
I never sold them.....That's eight slots you waste every time you're lucky enough to find a dozen (or more) FTs for sale. And, somehow, the leftovers are never there when you go back to buy a second load.

Nah..... that was only a misplaced click.
I usually store the excals in one of the bay space thus only sacrificing one spot.
The hardpoints are so free to be filled with FT or other missiles. I found good use of right click in the process. ;-)
This way in the return trip I can always have my excals equipped.... just for that.

Seems the first "M" in MMaggio must stand for "Magellan."
Yesterday I discovered that MMaggio was more than just a B5 voice crying in the wilderness. He came out of his server shell to hunt for a previously undiscovered planet. After he found it, he also discovered that the local population (of the planet) wasn't all too happy with his finding it.
At MM's bequest, I queried (via the tilde key) his sector coordinates and joined him at the newly found location. I then promptly began to document MM's discovery, taking a few screen shots of the planet and, likewise, of MM's ship.
Here I am, approaching the planet:

Alas, MM was less interested in documentation and more inclined toward assistance as he attempted to defend his discovery against pirates, marauders, and other Red interlopers. Oblivious to his plight, I (instead) captured one of many equally dramatic altercations ... as seen here ...
MM about to defend his planet ...

Hang on, MM ... I'm on my way ...

Never mind.

Eventually, I did manage to assist ... although MM initially was too preoccupied ... shooting at everything in sight ... to notice my callsign. Luckily, I'd saved just prior to making planetfall. No (permanent) harm, no foul.
And, honest MM, those excals I fired at you during refueling were an accident. Another case of attempting to chat without first hitting the "Enter" key ... I guess somewhere among the phrase, "How much fuel now?" must be the key to fire off a string of missiles.
Halfway through a really gruelling battle against a multitude of Reds, high winds in the real world resulted in a power loss ... dropping me off line. By the time power and Internet connection was restored, MM had retreated to a safe distance and was looking to retreat even further ... back into a more civilized star system. It was at that point that I misread the quadrant map and sent him about 1000 sectors in the wrong direction.
Ergo, the need for refueling. Which, by the way, works great. Except for the part where certain key combinations can launch missiles at the craft being refueled.
Edit: Small changes. Not that anyone ever reads my posts.

Unless he has a licence and a certain reputation there or he might be thinking of another planet that looks like it. Could be a planets twin (Yes, I know another way of saying you know what...LOL..

Oh, definitely for selling! Fortunately, early on in the game, I bought the licence for buying at the cheap planet!Originally posted by Maarschalk

Oasis followed Romulan as he retreated from Sapphire* today. Then I followed Oasis ... and eventually ended up in another previously "unknown" sector of the galaxy (unknown to me, anyway). While Rommie and Oasis went at it, I checked out the nearby planet ... could this possibly be Romulus?

Anyway, whatever it's called, the discovery evidently upset Rommie beyond his normal level of being upset. 'Cause he went about lobbing FTs at Oasis while she sat docked at the planet's one city. He even lobbed one at me while I was in the atmosphere and unable to jump away.
Eventually, he must've run out of credits, gave up, activated his rather primitive translator, and said something besides "LOL" ... except I forget what it was. Then he logged off.
* Admittedly, Rommie put up a tremendous fight ... turning red but never getting to the point of actually exploding. Oasis was quick to make her own repairs and take up the chase.

Seems like our clan growed up of a member..... let's see if he'll post here anytime soon.
Marvin was the fisrt to make acquaintance and by helping him in a MP session he granted us his favours.
On a side note, everyone is welcome to join the Independent Merchants Guild; all you have to do is just ask and get in touch with us.
