 They're a little difficult to set up (having the course in and/or below the clouds while not having any part of it run underground) but well worth the effort. Especially when the other guy forgets where he is and decides to use afterburner.

What I would like to have would be some AA-Defenses on hostile planets, which can be temporary destroyed. After they're destroyed they self-repair after a while. Maybe they can be found at hostile outposts, which offer (when succesfully attacked/destroyed) valuable items.
That would make it even a bit more difficult trading in hostile systems and you also would have a possibility for air-to-ground combat.

You can't blow earth up and you can't destroy the defences, but you can land there, if you know the way.

"Absolute" is not a relative word, it is absolute. "Maybe" is a relative word, but not absolutely.

Well it depends on your relative perspective.
I can argue that absolutely is related to absolute there for absolutely is a relative of absolute and vice versa...
So it is a relatively related relative...And to come to think of it what is absulote? Nothing, there for I can argue again that everything is relative therefore absolute must be relative or none exsisting but since it is a word and thus exist and everything is relative thus absolute must be relatively relative........:P:P:P:P:P

And to come to think of it what is absulote? Nothing,
I challenge this premise with the following counterexamples:
Mathematics - One and one is always two. This is an absolute truth, that when one and one are combined, two is always the result.
Existence - Everything we feel, see, smell, touch, taste, and hear can be one grand deception. I may not be typing on a Dell Laptop, I may not be hearing the circulation fan blowing, and I may not actually be tasting a very delicious whoopie pie made fresh in an Amish bakery in Indiana. Everything could be one grand illusion. However, one thing is certain: in some form or another, I exist. This is an absolute; my existence is not relative to anything.

On topic: Planetside races sound neat. Going to have to try it sometime.

Really? how do you prove your not a figment of something else's imagination? In some Hindu tales the world is simply part of a 'dream' that Shiva is having........

our universe is neither relative nor absolute , one plus one may by absolute, but it is abstract at the same time. Quantum physics tells us that the universe is not relative, it's relativity is simply an effect ( rather than cause), and that 'special relativity' is not an unbreakable rule.

[/rant]

whoopie pie + vodka FTW !

planet-side races are already possible, it would just take someone the time and effort to build the course ( details in the customisation kit I presume )

I can prove that 1 + 1 = relatively 2 but not absulotely 2
cause in reality there is nothing excactly equal to one because any 1 thing missing even one sub atomic particle is not excactly equal to one of the same and no two particles are excactly the same each particle has its own relative dynamics if we could shrink our self to the subatomic level as to see the particles as solar systems then each particle would be unique with its own individual character....

Another example if you needed to measure apples in weight than the 1 apple of 50ounces+1 apple of 100ounces = relatively 3 apples of 50 ounces each apples so in this case if the standard measure of 1 apple was 50 ounces and you bought 2 apples as in the above example with different weights you actually bought 3 apples in weight so in this case 1+1=3 and that is why you have to take relativity into account. Specialy in chemistry if you Add one complex molecule to a nother complex molecule you do not always get two molecules in the solution you might end up with one huge molecule or many separate molecules. So in chemistry 1 molecule + 1 molecule could be = 1 molecule so 1+1=1, or 1+1=∞ I believe this is how the Big Bang started.....Now my head is spinning, I need some of that relatively figmentary fresh Whoopie pie from that Amish bakery in Indiana....LOL....:P:P:P:P:P:P.....;)

:o When running a planetside race, there's at least one minor drawback if the course is set too close to the ground ... dirt in the cockpit.

His Velocity is 0 and his Altitude seems to read 1701, so I guess he was on inertial to land on the planet and switched to IDS to take off from the planets surface again. Probably needs a lot of thrust to pull out his dirt sunken ship.....LOL....:P
