I dusted off my old Cyborg Evo joystick after many years. Mouse control just isn't cut out for six-axis combat

Why do they call a mouse a mouse...? Aren't they to big..? They should have called them rats....rat control might be better for six-axis combat.....LOL....

....Now if I only can get my rat to work with my computer...

Welcome to the game, Hendar23.

You can buy so many games for $25 through digital distribution that I usually exclude games that are more expensive as well, but I made exceptions for all games SW3D. I'd buy them for any reasonable price. They're just too good, and Vice is just too good a developer.

For my console games, however, I stick to buying the games I think are worth the full price - recently Darksiders and Mass Effect 2. Soon upcoming the racing title Split/Second. Although Xbox Live Arcade is fun too - I have MS2400 ($25) as limit there too.

I was really disappointed with ME1. I bought DA:O and that was ok, but I got bored. I loved SWKotoR so I trusted Bioware enough to take a risk. That was the last time I made an exception and went full-price. Next time I won't bother.

Every year there are less and less mainstream games I am interested in anyway, I don't miss much by buying budget.

Metro 2033 looks like my kind of game. (rough-around--the-edges, unforgiving, dark Eastern-European nihilism

). I haven't owed a console in years (not since I lived with a bunch of guys and we could sit around a TV and play together)

Mass Effect 2 is a radical departure from ME1. ME1 was good - for it's time. DA:O never appealed to me.

Hope to make a difference and offer you some nice console games soon - my first title for XBLA should be coming out in the next year or so.

ME2 did perk my interest. I've been playing a lot of RPGs recently where I wish they would just ditch the stats and equipment upgrades. I find they get meaningless after a while. In DA:O you spend a lot of time swapping out suits of armor that are nearly identical except one number is slightly higher than the other.

As a teen I figured stat based combat in RPG's was because of limitations in technology. If you had asked me back then what an RPG would be like now, I'd have guessed they would be like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
