Anyone else have problems with their X52?
Mine occasionally gets stuck turning in one direction or another, usually during a battle. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to make it stop.
Incidentally, the Vonari don't seem to care that my gear is malfunctioning and they just keep on attacking! :o
Yes, It is a known factor with the X52....Only way to stop it is to set the deadzone in game to 1 and sensitivity to medium, you will loose some acuracy....and also set a very narrow margin for your deadzones in your saiteks control panel...

If you're talking about control input stopping entirely, then that sounds like something other than a settings issue. The device may be shutting down input entirely, which could indicate a system specific problem. Try Gorf's recommendation of using a different USB port.
Hi ya all. I'm a Rookie pilot with this game, but I have used my X52 with many different flight simulators and had some similar problems. Also the "mouse function" was making strange movements in games. I contacted Saitek and they advised me to "Disconnect" the "Magic Mouse" in the control panel/System/Device Manager.
After this I have never had any problems with the X52 system.
Hope this helps.

Another thing to check is how are your axis's mapped? are you using Saitek's SST and in-game mapping? I use in-game setting for most Axis's and SST/profiler mainly for certain key presses.
Is there anyone that knows a way to use the "Clutch-button" as a "normal" button for the X52?
I tried the following last night (I found it on Saitek's forum):
i)open registry (start>run>regedit [press OK])
ii)search for "AviemoreCltBtn" without quotes with the following parameters:
"search for value" and "match the whole string only".
iii)By default the values are:
in decimal: 30 or hexadecimal:1e
change it to
in decimal: 29 or hexadecimal:1d
!!!you may find multiple instances, so do it for every one!!!
iv)Close the registry, unplug from USB and plug back the stick.
You are done. Now the clutch button is moved to RESET and "i button" is free to be assigned. I use it in Ventrilo as push-to-talk button.
This only ended up with that the computer restarted itself when I pressed the clutch. Was I ever surprised or what?????
Thankful for any help

Yes, in properties of your X52 under one of the tabs there is a check box to disable the clutch button so you can program it like a regular button.....

However, that is not how that checkbox works. From the manual:
"To change the way your clutch works, check or uncheck the
Latched Clutch Button checkbox in the Clutch Settings panel
and then click Apply.
When the box is checked, pressing and releasing the clutch
deactivates the buttons in the game in progress. To reactivate
the buttons, you must press and release the clutch again.
When the box is unchecked, the buttons are deactivated in
the game only as long as the clutch is depressed. When you
release the clutch, pressing buttons once again affects the
game in progress."
Have you really gotten that to work? If so, is it checked or unchecked?
Thanks,
SeeJay

Yes, I got it to work, with the box unchecked and I have been using it for a long time to turn IDS on and of as a regular button. There was some where on line on other Forums describing how to do this. I forgot where I got the info. Unfortunetly since last nigth my X52 Stick is not working only the Throttle and MFD is working....So I have at the moment noway to figure out how I did it till I get it fixed...
